Forget-Me-Knot Charity Shop Volunteer v1

The Ark is a local charity supporting people with disabilities and long-term health conditions, unpaid and family carers and the wider community. Our shop, Forget-me-Knot, raises funds from the sale of donated vintage, retro, quirky, unique, hand-made and upcycled items.

Forget-me-Knot is also a community space; a place to sit and have coffee and a chat, play on the retro games machine, take part in groups such as Knit & Natter and the Death Café.

Forget-me-Knot also gives those with disabilities and health conditions the opportunity of training, employment and volunteering.

If you would like to volunteer with us all you will need is some enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference. The role is diverse, taking place on the shop floor and behind the scenes.

Volunteer tasks include anything from sorting donations, steaming clothes, pricing products, managing the till, making tea and helping with the window displays.

You can choose how much time you dedicate, and we’ll give you training and support along the way.
